Conventional pool heating systems are either always on, or always off. If you’ve gone solar, and are heating your pool with the sun, the system is always warming your pool.

Most people who own a gas, propane, or electric heater turn the heater on for special occasions, or weekends only. The fuel is too expensive to be always on.
